Vote for Romance

Admittedly, it’s hard to feel romantic with all the politicians and “expert” commentators screaming at us twenty-four hours a day. But if we’re not going to go crazy during this absurdly long campaign season, we need to find a place where we can retreat from the world.

How about a “media truce” —- you and your partner agree that for 24 hours no TV or radio, no political discussions, and no participating in the endless polling phone calls.

It’s challenging to try to disengage from the the constant bombardment of negativity that’s become the U.S.’s election process…but if we’re going to have to find a way, and what better way than to focus on each other, on our relationship, and on the intimacy we share.

Need an excuse to turn off the world — try voting for romance!
